The community is so welcoming and a safe environment for kids. There are a few things that needs to be changed. If you want to do something fun then you would have to go outside of Stafford County. Also, all the schools are very overcrowded.
I am proud to say me, and my family live here. My husband and I looked at houses, both existing and new builds, for at least 2 years. We decided to look in the Stafford area and found Churchill Meadows.

After nearly 1 year we still have major and minor issues that have not been addressed and/or fixed. This is just some of the items needing to be addressed. Additionally we paid for a larger driveway and that was not done correctly either. They will do all they can not to make the repairs or put them off in hopes that you forget about them. Stafford County is a large area with a ton of public schools in the system. It's very easy to get a job as a substitute teacher in the local district and then to find a fit from there.
There are a large diversity of people here. Stafford County is a very friendly and welcoming county. The real estate is not too expensive which makes it a great place to settle down. It's located right in the middle of some very popular cities including Fredricksburg, Richmond, and Washington D.C., which makes it easy to commute to places.

The stores are close to my home and there is a large group of diverse people in stafford. I currently live in Stafford and it is a pretty great place. It is very easy to get around an a safe place to live. BBB Business Profiles are provided solely to assist you in exercising your own best judgment.
The traffic is also very bad with all the people who live here. I love being at home with my family and meeting new people here. There are many job opportunities, especially for recent college graduates. The absolute most bizarre thing I've ever seen a builder do. There are 7 large dirt mounds the builder is leaving behind and refers to them as "Irish Rolling Hills". If that was his intent he failed miserably.

I was a sub for only a few months before I found a permanent position in the district. There are areas of Stafford that are new and growing. I like the variety of stores to shop in and there are a variety of eateries. There are plenty of new homes around, but the cost of living is fairly high. I wish we had a movie theatre closer, but they do have a plan for one in the next couple of years.
Stafford county is very welcoming to new neighbors and family friendly. While the neighborhoods are great, the schools in the area have weird time schedules and absurd districting. Other than that, I have no complaints about Stafford county. I like that it is a city and country blend in one. The schools here are great and there are lots of job opportunities to choose from. The families here are really nice to one another and are willingly to help each other out.
Have lived in Stafford since February 1994. It has grown tremendously, but lacks in non fast food restaurant options, no movie theater, high personal property taxes, no kind of family entertainment. Unless you live in a subdivision that has amenities, you drive to Fredericksburg or Dale City for most shopping and entertainment. I have lived here for 18 years and it has been a blessing.
From the moment we walked into the Model, Justin was working that weekend, we knew that we were not going to have to look any longer. We found the community we wanted, the house we wanted and the company that we wanted to work with! It was a great experience from the beginning till we moved in. Justin and Kristin were always so nice, helpful and considerate. They were patient in answering all of our questions. The Super, Pete and his helper, Mark, we very nice and made us feel at ease through the building process.
Our political leaders care for their citizens and hold town meetings so everyone is on the same page with local issues. Stafford County is a great, simple, and progressing community. We are getting a lot more new developments, and buildings because our population is growing tremendously.
Stafford is a very diverse community and welcomes all who are locals or just visiting. I have lived in Stafford County for 9 1/2 years. More people continue to move here, but I don't think the rest of the area is able to keep up. Many locations have been said to be built, but never actually have been.
Stafford county has been quite the journey. The schools aren't the best, with the lack of respect for students and lack of diversity as well. Traveling in Stafford is also quite hard because there tends to be a lot of traffic all day which makes people late to work, to shop, and for buses to drop kids off at school.
Some builder focused on pushing upgrades and cosmetic features which we didn't appreciate. The staff addressed questions and concerns in a timely manner throughout the entire process. We appreciated timely responses to concerns. Everything was completed on schedule with no delays and turned out exactly as we had hoped. I would recommend Hour Homes to others based on the finished project and overall experience. The builder does not address and/or fix problems timely.
