A graduate of Emory School of Divinity, beginning in 1953 until his retirement in June 2020, “Brother Grover” served and shepherded as a much-loved minister. Ronald Ray Wetherholt went to be with the Lord on March 10, 2022.

He attended the University of Miami and Dekalb Junior College. He held various operation positions with Standard Oil of Kentucky between 1966 and 1974, and then spent 19 years working as a Checker Foreman for the Georgia Ports Authority. CJ started and operated Stickle’s Courier Service from 1995 to 2013. William Stephen Bowen, Jr. of Savannah passed away on August 1, 2022 after a brief illness. He was born on February 14, 1938 in Blackshear, GA to William Stephen Bowen Sr.“Buddy” and Alafae Jones Bowen. Stephen graduated from Blackshear High School and was a member of the 1956 State Championship basketball team.

We are left shocked and saddened at the loss of such a beautiful soul. Those who knew Brandon, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives. Brandon was the heartbeat of any room he walked into. You couldn’t help but smile or laugh when you were in the presence of Brandon. Each new friend was attracted by his innate generosity and warm hospitality.

She graduated from Savannah High School in 1945 and attended Armstrong State College, where she starred on the tennis team. Gloria founded Tailor Made Draperies, Inc. with her husband Carlton and served as President of the company. She was a member of Wesley Monumental United Methodist Church, the Fellowship Sunday School Class, and United Methodist Womens’ Merrymaker Circle.
She is survived by her husband George B Stewart II and daughter Tiffany Cullen. Pamela will be greatly missed by her friends and family here and around the country. As a young woman living in Charleston, SC, in the 70’s, Pamela was the first black person to own a business on King Street and one of the youngest business owners in the city. Meriel Jean Newman Cupstid, 88, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at her home in Savannah.
